Η Δομή Επιχειρηματικότητας και Καινοτομίας του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου CREATIVE+ συμμετέχει στο πρόγραμμα σπουδών TIME MBE που οργανώνεται από το Πανεπιστήμιο Κρήτης και προσφέρει τη δυνατότητα παρακολούθησης μαθημάτων από experts διεθνούς κύρους σε θέματα επιχειρηματικότητας. 

Το ΤΙΜΕ ΜΒΕ προσφέρεται από μια κοινοπραξία τριών πανεπιστημίων: Το Πανεπιστήμιο Κρήτης, το Πανεπιστήμιο Κύπρου και το Πανεπιστήμιο Wageningen στην Ολλανδία. Στο πρόγραμμα ΤΙΜΕ ΜΒΕ συμμετέχει το Πάντειον Πανεπιστήμιο, μέσω μνημονίου συνεργασίας. Μάθετε περισσότερα για το πρόγραμμα εδώ.

Η Δομή Επιχειρηματικότητας και Καινοτομίας του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου Creative+ θα αξιοποιήσει την επιστημονική έρευνα και γνώση από το πεδίο των Κοινωνικών και Πολιτικών Επιστημών, Επιστημών Οικονομίας και Δημόσιας Διοίκησης, Διεθνών Σπουδών, Επικοινωνίας και Πολιτισμού σε συνδυασμό με τεχνολογίες αιχμής web3 για την ανάπτυξη επιχειρηματικών ιδεών και την ωρίμανση. Παράλληλα, αναπτύσσει το δίκτυο συνεργασιών με φορείς του οικοσυστήματος καινοτομίας και επιχειρηματικότητας στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό.

SEMINAR 1: Intellectual Property Rights and Technology Transfer (MBE5303)

Business management requires understanding Intellectual Property (IP) rights both as a value creation mechanism and as part of a good risk management plan. The course offers an understanding of the ways patents, copyright, trademarks and designs can be used as a strategic tool according to the market and technology in question. Students are introduced to ways of assessing the business value of IP and understanding the main information in a patent, trademark and design document. They are expected to understand when and why a business may seek IP protection, how the existence of third party IP may affect business plans, and how to structure IP business deals. The course is taught through case studies and students are expected to engage in interactive presentations.

Instructor: Prof. Sideri Katerina | Panteion University

Dr Sideri is assistant professor of political science at Panteion University in Athens, Greece. Previously she was a Marie Curie Individual Fellow based at the Bioethics Institute Gent, in Belgium, associate research fellow at the University of Oxford, Centre for SocioLegal Studies and lecturer in IP law at the University of Exeter. She has acted as an advisor for the Tech transfer office of the Agricultural University of Athens. She has published in journals such as Science and Public Policy. Journal of Law and the Biosciences Journal of Technology Transfer. European Law Journal. Her more recent monograph is Patents as Discourse on Life: Bioproperty, Biomedicine and Deliberative Governance. (Routledge; 2014). She is now working on a new monograph with the title ‘Innovation for Whose Good?’

SEMINAR 2: Use of Innovation and Knowledge in R&D Intensive Firms (MBE5304)

6-10 March 2023 | 17:30 – 20.30
A clear understanding of the strategic use of current and emerging technologies and the ability to develop and implement an innovation strategy is of paramount importance, especially for SMEs and startups. The course offers students an understanding of ways to use innovation and knowledge, and to deal with risk and reward in an innovation portfolio. The course material will be supplemented by two case studies, one in artificial intelligence and a second in digital health.

Instructor: Prof. Panagopoulos Andreas | University of Crete

Dr Panagopoulos is an Assistant Professor at the Economics Department, University of Crete, and the director and founder of the TECHNIS think-tank and research group. He holds a Ph.D. from University College London, an M.Sc. in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a Naval Officers Degree from the Hellenic Naval Academy. In the past he lectured economics both at graduate and undergraduate level at Lancaster Management School and the University of Bristol. He was a lecturer at the European Political-economy Infrastructure Consortium teaching game theory for managers.

SEMINAR 4: New Technology Ventures (MBE5306)

The course aims at providing students with a solid understanding of the process of developing new technology ventures (especially in sectors such as information technology, energy, biotechnology, communications) focusing on emerging technologies opportunities, market analysis, competition, managing innovative teams, regulatory issues, and entrepreneurial finance. Company valuation methods will enable the students to adopt an investor’s perspective for assessing and valuing the venture, and thus communicate effectively the venture’s value.

SEMINAR 5: Decision Making for Innovative Ventures (MBE5302)

Technology is brought in an organization either through internal innovation or through external acquisition. The uncertain and risky nature of innovation – be it adopted or generated – requires a particular set of strategies, tools and techniques. The course aims to explain the strategic and operational issues involved in either case. Use of real-world examples will be extensive.

Nick Vonortas is Professor of Economics and International Affairs at The George Washington University in Washington D.C. He is a faculty member of the Department of Economics, of the Institute for International Science and Technology Policy (IISTP), and of the Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration.

SEMINAR 6: Skills for Small Firm Development (MBE5305)

3-7 April 2023 | 17:30 – 20:30

The course will present an overview of entrepreneurship and how emerging innovative firms develop over time. For every growth stage we will outline the entrepreneurial challenges, the decision making process and the options available for such decision making. Increased attention will be paid to the commercialization process from idea generation to viable product and financial returns. Along the same lines, the course has a strong entrepreneurial finance component where we will be exploring in depth the sources of finance for entrepreneurial firms along their growth trajectory. The course offers good management practice for students and encourages and develops small business development skills.

Instructor: Prof. Kolympiris Christos | University of Warwick

Christos is Associate Professor in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Warwick Business School, University of Warwick. His research addresses issues related to university-based innovation, research commercialization, technology transfer, university-industry collaboration, venture capital and other forms of entrepreneurial finance. His work has been supported by the National Science Foundation and the Kauffman Foundation and has been published in leading journals including Review of Economics and Statistics, Organization Science, Research Policy , Journal of Business Venturing and Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal.
